Location
The Villa Gaia Hotel is situated in the historic center of Taormina, just 30 meters from the Duomo, a splendid example of sixteenth-century Gothic architecture, and the famous Corso Umberto I, the most elegant street in the city, with its high fashion boutiques and antique shops.
The villa's location guarantees calm and tranquility, and offers a magnificent view of the crystal-clear blue waters of the Ionian Sea, the luxurious vegetation of the Etna, and the Gothic contours of the Duomo: a true oasis of peace in the heart of the historic center, spoiling our guests with a relaxing and unforgettable stay.
There are a great deal of interesting artistic and cultural sites within the city: as well as the Duomo, we may mention the San Pancrazio Church, the Sicilian Museum of art and popular traditions, Palazzo Corvaja, the Villa Comunale and the spectacular Greek-Roman Theatre.
We also advise you to visit the nearby Alcantara River Park, a tremendously fascinating place just 25 km out of the city, famous for the various Gorges shaped into the rock by millennium-old geological phenomena.
